چکیده

This study is concerned with unsteady flow in open channels boundary conditions that may exist river or channel system. A software Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) was used for a case study. The contains hydrodynamic model simulating the based on one-dimensional form of Saint-Venant equations, by formulating discrete using implicit finite difference scheme, then solving Newton-Raphson iteration procedure and modified Gaussian elimination technique. adopted help HEC-RAS application applied to reach Al Msharah River (channel) between AL Barrage (upstream)and Malah Bridge (Downstream), length (49 Km) divided (52) cross sections. Model runs comparison results actual field data indicate accuracy obtained for(?=1 ?t=5 minute) quite acceptable, where ? weighting parameter ?t time interval. paper covers normal depth observed water stage within period ( from January 2006 July 2006) . demonstrate area at Am'arah city distance 17.5 Km upstream(cross section 30)could be subjected flooding High Flow, therefore, it recommended adjust sections prevent this area. At last , Calibration achieved (water stage) along show good agreement.

Mathematical Modeling of Two-dimensional Unsteady Flow in Growing Tumor

We investigate the problem of unsteady fluid flow in growing solid tumors. We develop a mathematical model for a growing tumor whose boundary is taken as a sphere, and the unsteady fluid flow within the tumor is assumed to be two dimensional with respect to the radial distance and the latitudinal angle in spherical coordinates. The expressions for the time, radial and latitudinal variations of ...

Mathematical Modeling of Flow in a Granular Permeable Bed Channel

In this research, a two-dimensional mathematical model using  turbulence model was developed in a rectangular channel with granular permeable bed. Finite volume method was used for numerical solution of governing equations. The equations considered are discretized using Hybrid difference scheme while applying SIMPLE algorithm to correct velocity components in the continuity equation. In the dev...

Mathematical Modeling of Unsteady Flow Through A Tube With Time Dependent Stenosis in Hemodynamics

In this paper, a mathematical model is developed, taking into consideration the slip velocity at the wall of blood vessel of time-dependent Stenosis with unsteady flow through a tube in the presence of a Stenosis. Momentum integral method has been used to evaluate axial velocity and pressure gradient in time dependent Stenosis. Results have also been compared with and without the effect of slip...

Mathematical Model of Unsteady Groundwater Flow Through Aquifers and Calibration Via a Non-Linear Optimization Technique

In this study, the general partial differential equation of unsteady groundwater flow through non-homogeneous and anisotropic aquifer was solved by the fully implicit finite difference method with control volume approach. The calibration of permeability and storage coefficients as model parameters was performed by a transformation technique and application of Powell's non-linear optimization me...

Evaluation of Gorganrood river water quality based on surface water quality indicators in Gonbad Kavous

Background and Objective: Increased untreated wastewater and unsustainable development of agriculture has deteriorated water quality of rivers. The aim of this study was to determine the quality of water in Gorganrud River basin using NSFWQI IRWQISC and Liou Pollution Index and compare them with the global standards. To do this, GIS software.was used Materials and Methods: In this study, 5 sam...
